Congratulation to the Audi R10 Diesel and RS4 Safety Cars.

Post by Bigpockets » Sun Jun 18, 2006 10:01 pm

I managed to watch most of the Le mans 24 hours, but what a buzz when the commentators kept going on about the RS4 safety cars and the incredible sound they made. They said Audi must of tweaked them and changed the exhausts.

Is there anyone on the forum that knows anything ?

Sounded pretty stock from where I was standing - the weird thing is that they were far noisier thatn the R10 - now that is quiet

Yeah I reckon that Audi took all the noise from the R10 and put it in the Lambo - feck was that noisy or what - absolutely fantastic though.
Cheers,
Daz :D

Evening All

As far as I remember, the RS4 safety car has a custom built quattro gmbh exhaust. Saw it at Le Mans last year too - lovely noise.

R10 was stunning - quiet and smooth.

Thanks to the bloke I met in the campsite who gave me an Audi car sticker. He'd just picked up his saloon on Wed and drove to the circuit on Thursday - no problems, and he was mighty impressed with the car.

One of the highlights for me was finding four RS4s giving VIP rides around the carting track on Saturday after midnight - couldn't blag a ride, but I tried. Cant wait for the Avant - roll on Jul, Aug or Sept!!

So that's what all the rubber was :) we camped next door but were on the circuit at the time.
