Having written a very unhappy letter to Audi Customer Services at Milton Keynes about the lack of the TMC function working, yesterday I had a phone call from them.....

I couldn't believe what I was hearing and they were actually on the point of being hostile on the telephone... all because Audi haven't bothered to buy a TMC licence in the UK. I was also told that I was pretty much a liar because TMC never worked on a B5 RS4 - when actually it worked fine on the 3 examples that I previously owned.

Has anybody else out there had contact with Audi at Milton Keynes and been treated like :dung: ????

To me it is pretty clear that they certainly do not care about their customers. I am totally :piss: ed off with them - all I want is my car to work properly and at the moment there is a function that does not work. It seems that they have little intention of putting this right and on the purchase of a £55,000 motor I think this is 100% wrong.

Do you think it would work if you put in a compatible disc from another manufacturer?

I'm not sure that there are any compatible discs - how do you find out?

Try sending a mail to these people, they are good to the point of being brilliant....they should be able to tell you what the system is and what is/going to be available in the near...

"Thank you for your interest in Tele Atlas products.

We regret to inform you that we don't have a definite release date yet for a TMC enabled UK DVD.

In case you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. "

Not that useful!!! Although it does imply that there will be one, which is better than Audi's response of FXCK OFF.
