Thoughts on Sprint Blue

Post by markwm » Fri May 05, 2006 10:10 am

I'm at that stage where I cannot decide which colour to go for. I got it down to either Daytona Grey or Sprint Blue. Because the car is understated somewhat I'm worried Grey is a bit too safe and will make the car look bland. On the other hand Blue might be a bit much and be impact resale.

My dealer doesn't have any cars on the lot for me to look at and Im yet to see any on the road.

lots of otr pics here http://www.exoticsonroad.de/site/html/t ... sine_0.php but I still cant decide.

As the great Chris Rea once sang...

"Ooooooh, ooooh, Daytona...."
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

Have you thought about any special order colors?

I think the car costs enough without adding another 4 figures to it.

Besides, I think the color choice is pretty good. I've gone for sprint blue. Now I got 4-5 months and worry over whether Ive gone for the right color.

Grey is safe possibly too safe. I dunno, I don't like the look of the rear end in grey for some reason, just looks boring.

"looks" are in the eye of the beholder. I personally think that the colour on this particular car should scream "Hey, check me out!"

Sprint Blue, Misano Red and Yellow definitely do that. Not so sure about the Daytona Grey, and Mugello Blue. I mean they all look good......but this is an RS4 afterall!

I don't think that one should order a colour that they don't really want just to improve the future sale of the car....enjoy the moment!

I have a Misano Red on order! Can't wait.

I went for sprint blue. My m3 was grey but although the grey is fine, with a car this good there's no reason not to go a bit brighter. I've owned mine 3 weeks now and had loads of admirers asking me various questions and no one has baulked at the colour at all.

To be fair I would have been just as happy with Daytone, but the blue is a little bit more lively!
