RS4 Avant to order in couple of days...

Post by andrei » Thu Apr 20, 2006 9:55 pm

Hi to everyone!

I am new to this forum and also new to this RS fans world! So please bear with me – I have a couple of questions for you and I need your help:

1. I have pretty much done my configuration:
:D RS4 Avant :D with:
- comfort pack;
- adaptive light;
- auto dimming and folding mirrors with memory (to bad the RS mirrors can not be folded);
- auto trunk opening;
- interior mirror auto-dimming;
- Navi Plus;
- CD changer;
- Recaro Sports seats with memory for the driver;
- back seats heated; (I am not sure I will need this one very much…)
- A/C quality sensor;
- grey leather;
Exterior color Daytonagrau or Sprintblau – here I am a little bit confused – but I like better the first one, the Daytona, what do you think?

2. Now questions:
- normal set up suspension with 18” wheels? Or
Normal set up suspension with 19” wheels or
SS with 18” or SS with 19”? – I think the first one should be the most comfortable and the last one the least comfortable, am I right or not? Are there big differences between those set up-s I mentioned above? Help me please here! Here (I am from Romania, Bucharest and roads are not quite as good as it should be, so…) any advice and opinion would be much appreciated!

- Bluetooth – I understood the 2 option for the Bluetooth connection only works with specific type of phones and with an adapter – and for other phones what should be the solution? An aftermarket car-kit, like Nokia 616? I am using right now a Nokia 6280 and I checked and there is no adapter for this one
That’s it for now!

Waiting for your answers!

Thanks
andrei

daytona with grey interior on Recaro Seats (with memory for driver) and everything I wrote before

I will let you know after I placed the order and hope to receive an early prod week :D

I'm a little confused.

1) What is comfort pack?

2) What folding mirrors with memory?

3) I thought the elecric recaros did not have memory?

4) What exactly is AC with 'quality sensor'?

I think that there is some confusion here. The comfort pack (memory seats & mirrors, folding, auto dimming mirrors) is not available on the RS4 even if the buckets are substituted for the recaros. This covers points 1 through 3 and explains why I'm not having one. As for point 4, I guess its a recirculation sensor fitted with an electronic nose. As for whether its available on the RS4, I am not sure.

You are wrong:
- the RS Seats - the bucket seata can not be ordered electric / memory, but the Recaro Seats are electric adj and are a free choice and memory if you want to add you can for 300 Eur (Germany) - you can check the price list on www.audi.de or try the configurator RS4

the comfort pack (I am not sure it is offered in UK) consist of: BOSE, cruise-control, rear windows el adj, front armrest, ski bag, front seat heated and floor mats in the rear

You are right about the quality sensor for the AC.

Sorry, most people on here are in the UK where memory seats are not an option. Its good to see that they are in Germany. Does this mean that you can also get folding mirrors in Germany?
Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.

No problem!

We have here the same options as in Germany (here in Romania) from where I am.

Yes, you can have folding mirrors - but only S/A4 style and in body color - not RS style

Auto trunk opening is not an option on the Avant.

I was offered the comfort pack - Recaro seat memory but the cost was £800 - no folding mirrors possible.

mmmm, judging by the latest brochure (April 2006 and published as a PDF somewhere here on this site) the auto trunk opening is an option, or so it says, on the Avant.

I have ordered last week a RS4 limo - after a discussion with my dealer - and a possible delay for avant
I am very happy with my choice and looking forward to driving my new car :)

My dealer says this is a misprint and on the ordering system this option is not available on his computer...
