Couple of questions after day one!

Post by JMiles » Sun Apr 23, 2006 8:13 pm

Got my lovely Sprint Blue RS4 yesterday, and like most (all) am absolutely thrilled with it. I got a cancelled order so mine came with the suede wheel and gear knob. I wasn't sure I'd like it a first but have decided now that it's absolutely awesome. looks and feels brilliant.

Couple of questions for existing owners or those in the know;

In the brochure it says the handbrake lever should be suede as well if the suede option is chosen. Mine's not!

The clutch pedal seems quite high. I'm a clutch hoverer and my foot is aching because I have to hold it at such a shallow angle. Anybody else noticed this?

On my old Kenwood sat nav the radio/cd would mute during voice guidance. Can't see an option on the audi one.

Disaterously I have a very small nick in one of the alloys at the front already. Have had my gloss silver airfix paint out and it's a good colour match. Will be reluctant to get a refurb as they always seem a bit shody to me. I guess a new wheel will be a out £500 or something stupid!

On a final funny note I managed to let a whole 1 litre bottle of Muck Off leak in the boot ! It's okay now that I removed the lining and broke the hosepipe ban......I bet I've got the cleanest RS4 boot though

My handbrake lever is not suede.
The pedals are high and close together, but i have got use to mine.
And my guidance talks over a muted radio like yours.

But its a small gripe, the car is epic and is getting better the more miles i do.

I am sure you know what i mean. Wish my wife understood

Totally agree it just gets better and better the more miles you do. 1743 and going up quick.

Small question with the sd mp3 cards

information about the tracks seem to be stored alphabetically on the sat nav so albums down loaded appear mixed!!!

Does anybody know how to change to the order in which it was loaded?

Have read the manual but still not sure !

Just asked the dealer to look in the compound to check to see if my handbrake is suede, he's looked and is confused as all documentation in the sales guide says that they suede pack includes the handbrake.

Have e-mailed my dealer to try and find out about the handbrake lever. It's not a massive issue but if the book sys it's supposed to be there then it should be.
