Just had a look at Slough/Aston Green's demo RS4 in Blue, not as nice as I thought it would be but he did say he had a cancelled car which could be specced up for del in Aug if anyone is interested....

I don't reckon you'd be the first owner though. From what I gather and despite confilcting advice, I was told that as soon as a dealership try to change the name on the order, Audi UK will cancel the car and offer it to another dealership. Apparently all the registrations are done through the same computer system and the car is automatically registered to the name/address on the order. So in theory, it will have the orderer's name on the V5, before you.
Just what I'd heard, but maybe someone with closer ties to Audi can clarify?

When I placed my order in my personal name I asked if I could change the details at the point of registration into a company name. The answer was yes no problem. So It would seem that it can be done but I am sure they will be keeping a very close eye on it to ensure that the person placing the order is in some way associated with the company who became the registered keeper.
