2 original cars which 1 was used in 1987 to set the hill record, that particular car is still owned by Audi AG an is brought out to play at full chat regularly no idea where the other went to

Saw a nice S1 at Castle Coombe today - Gary Middletons cars I think (http://www.slowlysideways.com) - would post a picture but the site is broken so you cannot post pics anymore.

Hey

This Is My First Post yay :P for your question Audi made 20 Sport quattros for rallying two went into pikes peak (as you know) the first one to set the record was a normal group b rally car which is now owed by Jhon Hanlon and the second quattro (the white one) kicking out a meer 700 bhp what trashed the record is owned by Audi thanks

The one which set the hill record was far from an S1 rally car, hence the big wings and 680 bhp engine, and certainly not the one John owns unless He did the impossible and got Audi to part with it. One of the old school quattro members built a Pikes replica car, which was recently sold after he passed away, maybe you are confusing that one.

That was Phil Hammond's car.

I wonder if Bobby Unser's car is still in the U.S?

The S1 is still scaring small children, even when its standing still.
