S1 for Sale

What a beast of a motor, not too sure about the interior finish could do with some new carpets I think!

Shame it isn't one of the original road versions.

It is a beast! You 'never' see these thing coming up for sale.

You could, of course, get Dialynx to make you one much cheaper than the original.

I owned a Dialynx SWB - 300HP. The SWB's are fine if you want a road car thats as twitchy as a Jalfrezi arse. The standard quattro turbo is nicely balanced - the SWB is most definitely not.

You do see Sport quattro's for sale quite regularly - but expect to pay £40k plus for a good one - and expect the alloy block to have been replaced properly by Audi or the whole engine replaced by the unlucky owner who had the block give up on him. If it hasnt it will.

So whats the fuss about the all alloy engine ?. Not uncommon now for engines to be all alloy !

I heard that several sports were recalled and their engines replaced with steel and alloy head due to Audi running out of all alloy engines for their rally program.

See attached link for a current sport for sale at approx 60k

Was very lucky to get behind the wheel of a road version a couple of years ago. Once the engine reached 3000+ revs , wow. Gearbox very notchy, brakes ok I supose, noisy, LHD a pain. Very worth the experience, buy one, never, Ur maybe, but I've never even been in an Ur ( nor an S4 for that matter !!! )
Like many of you, I suspect, there are loads of ( exotic)cars I'd like to ride/drive in , even for a few miles, purely for the personal experience. A P51D Mustang is on my list as well, different to the usual Airbus / 767 s I have travelled in

According to my oricle, it made £98,500 at auction
Considering it must have cost that to build, it has held its value well
Have lots of UR's of various evos if you want to come and play
