My new S3 track toy

Post by neilc » Wed Jul 11, 2012 3:14 pm

Hi Guys , well some of you may have seen this car up for sale with myself and this week I decided to sell my TT Quattro Sport 350 and instead buy one car for the track and then do another V6 TT project too.

Thats when it dawned on me that I had a great trackday car sitting here ! And it really is a great car with the TTS Roadport 325BHP big turbo conversion , weitec coilovers , H&R Arbs , poly bushed everywhere , Milltek , CDA induction , Brembo big brake kit + lots more it seemed perfect.

Further plans for this include stripping the interior out and fitting two Sparco evo bucket seats up front which should save me quite a bit of weight over the full leather electric originals.

First track day is this Saturday which I have organised through the TT forum , so I cant wait to see how it gets on and then plan further mods from there.

Cheers

why is this better than the TTqS ? surely the TTqS is lighter ?

or is it cos this is £7k vs. £13k for your qS ?

As mentioned I am also doing another TT V6 project at the same time for daily use so the S3 suits perfectly as a trackday toy. Where as I needed the money from the QS to fund the V6 build.

Understeering is fun?

You could try a TTqS that doesn't lose its wheels by corner no.2.

yes would love another qS, but cheapest is £8k with 80k on the clock and they are stock ....

last one i bought for £7k, 70k with a <beep> load of mods (Stage 2, full zorst, coils, ARB etc)

i missed a mental spec one few week back ... prob £10k worth of mods on it ....

dont really want to spend that much ...I've just sold both my set of wheels (R8 Rotors and 20" RS 4's) so thats released £3.5k, so there is a nice £5k 3.2TT V6 NA DSG local to me, TTOC man, selling due to company car .... Avus Silver

im thinking chuck on some Ferodo DS2500, uprated fluid and a non res milltek, take out rear seats and I've got the grounds for some good cheap fun?
