Dave, what are the thermal vanes that JC.. was on about?
Does anyone know if K&N are better than pipercross? i have always used pipercross and went for a change to K&N.

Not sure where you got thermal vanes from, it says internal. I assume these vanes and the webbing are what hold the paper in the right place. Sounds like he is suggesting to remove them, but this sounds dangerous as it may get sucked in and break the MAF, but I dont know for sure.

Dont know about any differences between them, mine is Jetex. Now about 6 years old, I clean it annually with a K&N cleaning kit.

I had an MRC map on my old s3 and it was very good.
B5 RS4 MTM 420 bhp

Misano RS4 with some MTM magic!!

I've had my S3 done by MRC - I can say was the drive home was great fun :thumbs:
