Hi guys at the moment im having a funny sound from the front on the s3 is like a huming sound when travelling between 40mph and 60mph i can hear it a bit, i just had done one of the gaiters done on the rigth side but the sound still there, some people have said it could be the front tyres as i got the pirellis p zero neros but i dont kwon.
any ideas can be much apreciated or help, the s3 has done 76,000 miles and is on a 52 plate.

I know what you mean, i went for a blat last night and mine did the same. i was going ''under '' the speed limit buy some way and the sound did not go.

Hi j the sound still there but i need to replace the front tyres and get the wheel alignment done as well so we keep in touch i let u kwon ok.

yer sure thing. my tyres still have a bi to go when i will change to Toyos. But if anything changes i will drop a post.

Tyres or poss wheel bearing.
Hard to tell, as not sure what the sound is your hearing, but try the tyres.
My S3 had the same problem an couldn't work it out, drove me crazy, so took it to my friend with an audi specialist garage, turns out not wheel barings etc, it was the tyres.
Even though I had fairly new tyres it seems that they wore funny and created flat spots on themselves, these where F1's.. Apparently this is something that can just happen. Changed tyres and nothing else and sound gone...
