360bhp isn't really a great target, to be honest. It's just beyond the accepted, safe limits of the engine's internals, but yet its not really enough power to make it worthwhile upgrading the conrods and valves. JBS are offering the most comprehensive rage of turbo conversions at the moment, but picking the right one depends on what your goals are. There's also APS, Star Performance, Backdraft, Regal, and a few others worth researching.
Mine had a GT28RS - not as laggy as some and putting out about 330-340bhp. However its not the way I'd go again. I'd either have a hybrid K04 on a tubular manifold, putting out about 315bhp and 340lbs/ft, or go all the way and go for a 450bhp twin scroll conversion.
The usual big turbo conversions that run in the 330-360bhp range are more laggy than standard and most torque figures seem to be about 310-320lbs/ft. You can get more torque from a well mapped K04 and the gearbox is too short to make full use of the top end power.
A hybrid k04 would be about the best for the point-to-point driving. Probably the quickest option on country roads. It has the torque delivery of the standard unit, but can sustain it and produce similar power to the GT28RS, MTM's, Sportec's and IHI's.
If you just want bragging rights and straight line fun, then the twin-scroll kits that JBS have look the nuts. Apparently its good for up-to 550bhp, but I don't think you'd see more than 500 out of it. Still, they're claiming about 2bar of boost by 3000rpm.

Thanks for all the info the best so far with least hassle fitting wise is the ko4 hybrid which will get me to 310/320 until i do the manifold then im lookin at 340/350.
Still looking for bigger though...

i would be surprised if you can get 340/350 with a hybrid ko4 even on a better manifold. I think the hybrids are good for around 300-310bhp and with a better manifold you will get upto 320ishbhp - but that is still going to be a lot cheaper than big turbo kits and probably less laggy and torqier.
I agree with Chris - go for the above, or go all out and do a gt30 kit, or similar, and aim for 420-460 kit

Went out in a JBS S3 and i goes like stink in a smooth audi way! For the money it is a cheap way to pass the 300 bhp mark, but it is the torque that impresses most and had my friends P1 struggling to keep up!!!

Jabbasport are worth a look too! They have just finished development work on their new Big turbo kits....

you are really stretching a KO4 hybrid at those levels, can't imagine the power delivery is very nice.
The GT2871 will get you those numbers comfortably and with uprated IE/Scat rods being so cheap even with the dollar at its current levels, why risk a torque spike on stock rods.
You can swap them out with the block in the car,
I also wouldn't want to jump from stock to 360+ without having a serious look at uprated exhaust valves.

The hybrid's at 300-310bhp is only 30/40bhp than having it chipped by Revo etc.
Chip is about £300. How much would the Hybrids cost?

Turbo converesions cost a LOT more than just a remap as it will include other work and then I am presuming a map for these modifications (I'm no techy though, so don't ask!)
I rang JBS a while a go, but prices were ridiculous. Awesome offer kits and I know Jabbasport do too. I have been out in the Jabbasport A3 1.8T which has an IHI turbo and that was stupidly quick.

Exactly, was trying to get at a bhp increase per £ figure

I think the maps are great value for money, as the small increase for the hybrid would not be worth it in my opinion.

A map is good value and as you say, 'best bang per buck'
You could see grizz off this very forum who does Custom Code or go down to Jabbsport in Peterborough. Both come with personal recommendations.
