Alarm siren location??? help needed asap
Hey all. My alarm siren on my 1999 s3 has gone. Ordered a new one from audi but dont have a clue where its situated??? heard its in the boot some where..... dont really wanna start dismantleing things before i no for deffinate where it is. Cheers

Just having a quick look in ETKA looks like it's under the bonnet(ish), in the centre by the bulkhead. See pic - I'll send via pm.

Its in the boot. Left hand side cubby hole (as your looking into the boot)

As posted above, the alarm siren is in the boot, in the well behind the N/S rear wheel under the central locking pump.
If the siren hasn't been replaced previously, you will need to drill the fastening hole to a larger size. You will also need a new nut to go with the larger thread on the new siren.

Still no luck.... been told by audi its in the boot compartment by the sub but cant see for <beep>...lol. is it a panel strip down???? cant believe no body else has done it....

Mananged to fit the new siren after hours of faffing about (left hand side cubby hole in the boot, under the changer / sub down the wheel arch) Cant believe what a stupid place to put it in. lol. If any one else has the same problem ill be happy to assist....

It's an easy job. I've changed a siren a couple of times now. I find removing the left hand side panel makes access very easy.
