suspension upgrade

Post by EskimoS3 » Sat Jun 09, 2007 6:42 pm

Hi, ive been hoping to get some new 18" wheels for my s3 as a couple are now kerb'd. Then today managed to park next to a red one with 18" wheels from an rs4 on (looked good) however it looked too high on these wheels.

on previous cars ive used coilover suspesion to create the correct stance, firmness of ride to suit my taste, however i am a bit worried as to if by lowering an s3 you mess up the handling or 4wd system?????

cheers

Ollie

Why would think it would do that?

lowering it will

1. improve handelling
2. cause any fillings in you mouth to fall out! (when added to 18")
3. rip you sump of if you go to lower, knowing how many bloody speed humps our goverment like
4. go lower than 30mm and you will have to get al the wheels re-alined
5. look much better
