another newbie! alarm wiring loom fault?

Hi there i hav been a proud audi s3 owner for nearly 2 years but since christmas i hav been tearing my hair out with it ,christmas day of all days my alarm kept going off so had 2 keep running down stairs and unlocking it 2 stop it, and since then its been getting worse nothing for a week or two and then boom its a way again, its been a total nightmare in and out the garage 4 or five times and as good as £800 spent and its now worse than ever the central locking and windows wont work and the guy at the garage has told me 2 get rid of it as the wiring loom for the car is saturated with water possibly from the rear skoosher pipe coming loose and it would cost 2 grand out of audi for a new 1 and an obscene amount of labour and other problems 2 go with it,so as not worth it.
But I was looking for a second opinion as it seems an awful waste.
I got this site address from a richard taylor whos number i got from another audi site as i hav been scouring the net for a specialist that could either help me or point me in the right direction.
He assured me that sum1 on this here fine site could help me as im at my wits end so if any1 could i would be very much obliged.
thank you Brian
ps parts already replaced alarm siren and labour £180
central locking control unit and labour £380
"diy" wiring section to connect control unit to loom £180
