Hi, just registered on the site, loads of great info for me to read through,
just got my S3 1999 -- already chipped, plus it has a dump valve, great car cant fault it, one question i do have is that im worried about is an engine whine when i first start the car -- sounds like the turbo -- this lasts for about 20 seconds then stops, i dont know if this is right or not, could some one please help me on this

It's the secondary air pump that used on start up i think. If you run a diagnostic it will show up as a fault but doesn't do alot. Some ppl disconnect them but you can try to get one off ebay cheap they are 200-300quid new at least.

No damage at all. u can just disconnect it if u like, will stop the whine and stop fault code appearing
