why have some got chrome mirrors? (mine hasn't) but i like tham is there any where i could buy them? seen them on ebay but there covers will they do?

is there anywhere in the north east that re-maps TT's S3's etc....

whats the most common re-map , what does it change (boost) and how much am i looking at £500?

i was think of dropping it by 30mm how much and where are the best spring to do so?

Hi Wightman, see you made it over from the Coupe forum!

The Chrome mirrors were an option from new, you can get them from Audi but they are stupidly expensive (IIRC £400-£500). The ones on Ebay are normally cheap shiny ones which dont look right, the OEM ones seem duller/matt.

For the S3 you can get a Revo 5 hour trial where they map your car via serial port then after 5 hours driving time it will revert back to the standard map. I had mine done at a place in Blaydon, if you go to the Revo website it has a list of all there suppliers. Not sure what boost it runs after but when i had my trial done he quoted me £400+vat to be done.

am i getting this right? the car was only mapped for 5hours of driving????

i dont think this rs forum will be as active as the coupe one so more of a read up time on the s3 is needed.

Yes the car was only mapped for 5 hours of driving time, but this is a FREE trial that they do so you can see what it's like when ramapped. The guy at Blaydon was very helpful, and you also get the benefit of them checking for any fault codes via Vag-com as they do this before the trial remap. :bigblink:

Jabbasoprt £575 rolling road custom remap. They are VERY good.

Eibach springs are good, fitted to my S3 very nice ride.

You could start with Miltek exhaust, induction kit, bailey piston dump valve and remap pushing for 270-280bhp if your lucky.

I've got a 1.9 conversion going for a FMIC and bigger turbo kit soon should be pushing 360+bhp so there's alot of potential if your interested.
