Almost finished!!!!!

Jabba sport have finished building my 1.9 lump, it's all back together and being dropped into car today.
One problem though, it requires 4 new bolts for the turbo manifold and guess what............
Yes Audi don't have any in stock in the UK

and guess what..... they can't even give a date to when they will be arriving
So to get the lump in they have fitted some temporary bolts but the car can not even be started without the correct bolts. So whenever they do arrive it's a quick change then the engine is running. From there I have 1000 miles to do to run in the lump (500miles under 4k) then it's remapped and I'm away!
I've been told cos I've not had the larger turbo (extra 4k) the power is limited cos the engine will create more exhaust than the K04 can remove. Aparently the K04 is quite a small turbo so I'm saving for the IHI turbo (360bhp) early next year.

Sounds sweet, how much did that knock you if you don't mind me asking? If its 360bhp next year, what have they estimated with current blower?
Any plans for stopping the beast?
Cheers.

I'm looking at 270+bhp and 310+lbft after the remap.
The total cost is 5800. That includes a new clutch, cam belt & tensioner, water pump, oil pump, MAF sensor, lamda sensor and eibach springs all round to go with the rebuild. I'm sure there are a couple of other things I'm forgetting....
Speaking of brakes, Jabba are fitting Brembo kits for 1100 which look very tasty so they're on my list with turbo upgrade next year.

I hope you get more than that, Jabba got me those figures from just a remap.

Yeah a lot of emphasis on the + in that figure.
The bolts have arrived and are fitted, car is MOT'd and after some data logging tomorrow it's done!
I'm picking it up Friday afternoon and hope to do 1000miles in week so it can be mapped and I can start enjoying it in all it's glory
I'm in the Cambs area btw

if you have a 1.9 are you going to take real advantage of it and go +400hp? 360hp is quite common on 1.8 now

Yes meeting up would be fine....
But although the car is finished and running, there has been a little issue. My ECU is one of the them that cannot be mapped, apparently when switched off there is no power feed to my particular ECU therefore it doesn't store any mapping data
It will take 7days and an extra lamda probe fitted to exhaust to get it mapped. I'm a little upset that in the 5months Jabba had the car they didn't check this out. It appears the left hand (engine building) and right hand (tuning) aren't communicating too well
Yes I am saving the extra 5k for the bigger turbo 400bhp out of an S3 would be nice. Possibly convert to permanent 4WD to handle the power better too

I'm going to wait til October to do the remap as I no longer have 3 cars so will need a replacement while it's in the garage for her indoors
