No RS3?

Post by DuncS3 » Tue Oct 26, 2004 8:44 pm

Autocar this week quote Wolfgang Hatz (Audi engine guy) saying "The RS name is reserved for the A4 and A6"

"We want to show we can be competitive in this class even with N/A-engines". What next, with rear wheel drive and 2 doors?

The new Audi TT is getting a 200bhp diesel engine in 2007 to maximise sales...what a joke :(

ColinM from Sport Import says the next S3 is going to be a 330bhp V6 Turbo - which seems very unlikely to me

..and i hope its not true because I would have to buy one and I want to keep my S3 for a while longer...Another reason it doesnt seem right to me is it almost renders the S4 obsolete - similar power and the new A3 (especially Sportback) isnt that much smaller.

Wasn´t this autocar magazine that published also photos and some details about the Audi RS3 and confirming this one too ? so, by that we can see the kind of information they write...
