F1s are quite well regarded. I like Bridgestone Potenzas S03s myself. I am currently running Yokohama AVS Sports which are good but they seem to squeal a bit on corners, which I dont like.

Dunc,

They should all squeal,if they dont you're not trying hard enough :D

I'd go with F1s for an all season tyre on an S3.

How many miles should I expect from normal driving, no track days etc. The ones that need replacing are Kaliber (Michelin subsidiary ?), and have done 16k miles.

Is that normal?

I made the mistake of putting the front into the rear about 5k ago, now they all need replacing at the same time :bash:

I always ran the bridgestones on my S3, and never had any probs with them, although I did find they wore down pretty quick (changed them every 9/10k), even when new, the tread didn't look that deep. You can get them for £100 a corner which isn't bad (compared to the michelins I recently put on the RS4 at £180 a corner!) From what I can tell though, most tyres are ok, as long as they're not Pirellis!!!!!
