First Service Price

My 2003 S3 has just hit 17,000 miles. It has the variable service indicator and is now due its first service.

I just called to find the price and was told £240 by one dealer and £310 by the other. Considering only oil and filters are changed isn't this a bit steep!?

The prices are the 'going rate' - Check that the one for £310 includes the Haldex oil change, which is noramlly due circa 20k miles - I paid IIRC about £300 with the Haldex oil change included.

Mine came to £280 with the haldex oil change but i asked for a discount and got it for £220. fairly reasonable i think.

Wayside charged me £300 on my first S3 inc Haldex oil change.

Walton Audi just charged me £278 incl VAT...for the first service incl the HALDEX oil change...which I thought was reasonable... being an ex-Impreza owner (service every 6000miles!)

mine last week was £246 quid for 1st AVS service and haldex oil change at wayside, but i supplied the oil at approx £52
