Removing S3 door panels
Removing S3 door panels
Put this post in the eletrical/ice section, but guess it may be better here??:
Hi all - I have the non-bose system in my S3 and am gonna upgrade HU and all speakers cos I love my music.
Have just been outside trying to get the front door panels off, taken all the obvious screws out and its still pretty much stuck there.
Have done a search everywhere (web + forums) and can't seem to find any details of how to do this (& rears) or what size speakers are in the F & R's.
Can anyone shed any light please, be interested in what you've put in inc sub/amp.
Many thanks,
- Bez.

Re: Removing S3 door panels
Ello Bez,
It should be pretty simple to take off.... but there are some hidden screws
Theres one near the doorlock which is a small self-tapper, i think two near the door hinge bit and two under the grey plastic part which is on the inside of the grab handle... its just behind the handle which you grab to open the doors.
The the whole door insert will slide upwards, becareful not to drop the insert onto a dirty floor and also the fibre-optic lighting cables can be short.

Mo.. Dont want to go too far off topic but how did you get your heated seat lights blue?
Got to be the youngest here?
Re: Removing S3 door panels
Removed the switches, stripped them down and replaced the LED for a blue one. Definately not recommended coz it was a nightmare trying to reassemble the switch.
