early s3,tuning?

hi,
i own a early s3,reg 08/99 was wondering if this is a problem with aftermarket chips?i noticed that apr only lists for the later vvt engines?are these the same as revo chips??regards Ryan

I have an 08/00 Noggy blue S3 which has an APR chip installed (fitted by Star Performance) which has now raised the horses to 270bhp.
The only problem that I have experienced is that the clutch has started to slip with the upgraded program enabled. I am currently running the car on the standard program (with no clutch slippage) but I'm investing in a MTM clutch to cope with the extra power, which will hopefully being getting fitted next week.

My old S3 was the same age as yours, even earlier actually. I know for a fact that AmD, MTM, and Revo have software for early cars. I'll attach my graphs for my Revo'd S3. The graphs are pretty darn smooth on the whole. The bonus about this code is that Revo had an early S3 themselves so it was bound to be good.
Figures achieved on HB5, timing 6 on Optimax.

Bit of a peak at the beginning but apparently that's where the wastegate may have shut. Could be BS though [img]images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

The car was going really well before I sold it.

hi mate,thanks for the graphs.How are you finding your new car?i am not 2 sure about revo myself,i heard a few bad reports.I hoping to go for a motec but glad to see the early s3's can get good figures.regards Ryan
