Hi,
Driving to work this morning, went to accelerate and all I got was a rumble, a flashing ecu light and the acceleration of my old tractor!
Took it straight to dealer, waiting to hear from them now...
My baby
Will keep you posted with what the problem is....
Tom...

Sounds about the right age - nothing to worry about, simple job if it is coil packs.
Best of luck,
Ben

Tom, get them to check your chassis number against their list for replacements of all coil packs

Tom, push them to replace them all. My S3 had all four done at its service, even though none had gone. The dealer told me they had to replace them all if as Hopsta says, you have a certain chassis number range and your car comes in for some work. SitaS3 had one of his go and they replaced all four. If one goes it stands to reason there is a chance of another going too, and that could be a major pain in the arse if it happens over the holiday period when a lot of places are closed.

yep had all four of mine replaced - i wouldn't have let the mechanic go without doing all 4 if I was you.. this time of the year is when the failure rates are higher..

Nice audi dealers... It took a quiet word in the technician's ear though....
Cheers for all your help
