Running In

Guys,

When you got your car did Audi give you any details on running it in?
Mine only had 600 on the clock and was driven by the sales manager ( not test driven thank god)

However, when I bought it the sales guy said Audi's did not running in and I could just drive it normally.
Now Porsches are not like that and I dont remember BMW being like that either.
Can anyone enlighten me? I am a bit worried I am doing damage with a heavy right foot.

John

When i got mine the dealer told me (same as my previous VW dealer with my golf 1.8T) that the VAG engines are bench run so dont need running in.

Saying that though the rest of the car does need running in, ie brakes, drivetrain and tyres.

Owners manual says you should take it easy for the first 1500 kms I think
