Dogs

We are expecting to get a dog in the next few months. As you might imagine this is creating a dilemma - can Fido travel successfully in the boot of our S3 ?

So, do any other S3 owners use their pride and joy for transporting their pooch ?

The breed in question is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (or Toller for short). They are slightly smaller than a traditional retrievers, but love water !

Any advice gratefully received !

You can get the A3 dog gaurd thing for the rear boot.
You remove the hatch cover and bingo.... your dogs own little space.
Dont forget to get one of then little diamond signs saying "doggy on board"

Why don't you just put it under the cargo net?

I'm sure I read somewhere that the A3 one doesn't fit Quattro cars.

Yeah I thought I was right - courtesy of Booster over at Tyresmoke.
Jon,
I've just had to buy a dog guard. I rang Audi and you're right they don't do one for A3TQ and S3. Very helpful of them!
I got one from Argos for £9.99. Quality is ok but I don't intend to leave it in the car permanently, only when taking the dog out.
One tip, watch the fecker's claws on the bumper when your dog is getting out!
Cheers

Andy

Daz: Thanks for digging out (!) the info
Bushy: Thanks for the care tips
Dog: Somehow thought you might contribute to this thread !

I'll let you know what happens when we get our four pawed friend.
