Hmmmm.
I had mine fitted Monday too.
I changed mine as my car appeared to be faltering or holding back a bit around 4000 rpm when not changing down a gear to pick up speed. (i.e using the torque) Seemd to hesitate around that mark.
I think it has now got a little better after having the AMD DV fitted. I'm gonna try it out on the way to work in an hour or so...
I did have the latest "N" bosch DV which I put on around 4-5 months ago.

My car is standard too and I think it feels smoother when changing gear at high revs, say 6K, seems to hold the power a bit better
but then again sometimes you think things are happening when they arent
Overall though I am under the impression it is better

Hey All,
I'm trying to find a site where I can order the DV online... I live in Holland and I do not know where I can get this DV.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Eric.
AmD have shipped these abroad before.
www.auto-amd.com
They are currently £65.00 +VAT + postage/packaging
if you Quote Audi-Sport.net when you contact AmD
Call them on +44(0)1869 323205
They Normally Retail at £85.00 +VAT + postage/packing so saving should more than cover the cost of getting it to you in Holland.

hi,i am new to this forum,so be patient with me!
what are the symptoms of a sticking dump valve?
i have a standard a3 quattro, and find it quite difficult to drive it smoothly, would this be anything to do with the dump valve?...so is it just me?
thanks for any help.

hi and welcome. The after market valves we are discussing aboue are a piston type, unlike the standard bosch diaphram valve, they do appear to make gear changes smoother, although there was nothing wrong with my old OEM valve.
some symtoms of failure:
whistling noise , like blowing over a bottle on acceleration.
fluttering noise on deceleration
sticking could show up when you are overtaking. ie full boost, but you dont seem to be getting full boost, then all of a sudden, you get a surge and all available boost is returned.
