S3 with MTM Badge Spotted

Post by B5DOM » Wed May 28, 2003 9:21 am

This post on the S2000 forum by my cousin, he is certainly into the old Audi's now he has been for drive in mine, and now he has respect for anything with an S or RS badge!

Was it one of ours, Just off the M25 at the leatherhead junction yesterday?

Hi B5dom,

Interesting read. Surprised at the comment about a MTM tuned S4 showing a clean pair of Heels to a S2000. Thought these ricers would be a match.....do you know how the S2000 would compare to a stock S4?

Cheers...

S4 wins .
My friend had one before he lost control on a dual carriageway in the wet

Hi all

Ricer boy with the S2000 signing in

Yeah the S2000 is no match for an MTM S4 in a straightline and from a standing start....the S2000 is difficult to launch and of course the S4 has the traction advantage.....

Once the S2000 is in the 6000 to 9000 rpms power band it's a handy tool (in the dry) I've seen off a S3 and TT225 in standard trim presumably. The MTM'd S3 was too quick but the driver backed off to let me past which I thought was nice.....

Being an Audi owner myself I must admit to be quite taken by Audi and certainly would consider a S series Audi if I ever have to give up my 2 seater

yeah I do like B5DOM's S4 it must be said.....I've been out in it once and scared me sh1tless so I paid him back with a dose of power oversteer in the S2000

I bought the wife an Audi A2 which I was gonna ditch for a Peugeot but I know I'd miss the Audi build quality

So what are S4's going for these days?

looks a very nicely spec'd car.....shame I haven't got the cash

The S2000 in hindight was the wrong car for me to buy. Don't get me wrong I love it, the handling is great if you like plenty of sideways action. It's not that much fun in the wet though and with the roof on I find it a little claustrophobic so come winter it will live in the garage during the week and just get used the odd weekend when the weather is nice

Since I am family man the car is really just a toy which is rather extravagent. Depreciation means I am going to hang on to it or p/x for an 964 911 which should hopefully be at the bottom of the depreciation curve
