Who uses them

I've got 4 x 10mm to go on mine next week when i have the RSTT fitted. Also Dunc, Paul, Simon & Mick have them on.

Seemed to be some confusion as to what sizes should go on the back.. some say 15mm and others say 10mm. The replicas that I've got, apparently only need 10mm(according to AmD)

Can anyone explain why as they should surely be the same size as the original wheels ??

The fronts are a VERY close fit just clearing the Porsche Calipers.

The offset might be different on the Replicas..

Mine - original Audi is ET33

Offset is the distance from the center of the wheel to the hub face...

it should be stamped or cast somwhere on your rims..

15mm rears & 10mm front.
As Paul says the gap between the callipers and the RS4 replicas is minimal.
Overall I think it gives the car a more aggresive stance [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Yeah I've got 10mm all round on mine and with the lowered suspension, the car has a great stance on the road. I needed mine because of the brembo caliper being bigger.

What benefits are there for having one of these fitted?

Mick, apparently, it drastically improves our understeer problem, but promotes a bit of oversteer (which personally I can handle better). Richard on Tyresmoke has recently done this as discussed Here

Personally i'm slightly sceptical about this. Apparently the golf 4 motion rear anti-roll bar is thicker by 1mm. But I wonder why Audi didn't fit this originally if it is such an improvement. Also i test drove the 4 motion b4 the S3 and I thought the Golf handled crap.

I have KW suspension on my car and I'm going to be asking their opinion about a thicker rear ARB and suspension geometry next week so if you're interested, I'll let you know.

I do know this though that if it is a good solution, they are a doddle to fit on the rear, unlike the front...

After reading Richard write up it appear (in his opinion) to be a very worthwhile mod...
I'm not the most technical of people but can a 1mm difference in thickness really make this much difference. Will be interesting to see if anyone else has this mod and thier opinions.

its pretty damn close with the Avus wheels too... not put my RSTTs on yet.

AMD recommend different things - I have factory RS TTs and 10 mm spacers all round - check out this email from AMD when I asked about 15mm on the rears:

"we fit 10mm all round unless we are specifically asked otherwise. 10mm is fine and then wheels all are then the same offsets, whereas if you use 15mm rear, the rears are slightly wider than the front which some owners prefer.

The other advantage with 10mm all round is you have the same spacer sizes & wheels bolts all round."

Got the wheels out tonight to wax them before tomorrow and the've got ET30 stamped on them. So not exactly a complete Replica [img]images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Increasing the radius of the rear anti-roll bar of my S2 avant from 10 mm to 16 mm (standard RS2) increased its torsional stiffness by over 6.5 times! Torsional stiffness is proportional to radius^4 (8^4 / 5^4 = 6.55) Other factors like the geometry of the linkage to the suspension system and the rubber suport bush compliance dilute this figure somewhat though and analysis of the system becomes much more complicated and non-linear with varying lateral loading...gives you a good estimate though if you know the diameters of the bars [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]
