Got one on order yet?
My local dealership have confirmed an RS3 is on the way too? They are into their RS models and I have not found them to be wrong yet. I for one would be interested. 350 BHP + MTM and 390~400BHP. The power to weight ratio would make this a serious piece of KIT.
C63, (C6) RS6 Avant, (C5) RS6 Avant, (B5) RS4 Avant, RS2 Avant, S4, S2, EVO IX 400 BHP
well it would be interesting to find out where your Audi dealer is getting their info from. I collected my car today from an Audi dealer and whilst waiting I asked their Sales director about all this RS3 gossip. He reckoned he'd been asked about 4 times today already and then he decided to phone the Audi UK head of product management in front of me, who then confirmed that there wasn't going to be an RS3 but there definitely will be an S3 in about 15 months time...Joules wrote:My local dealership have confirmed an RS3 is on the way too?
so what are the current odds??
Strange how it goes around in circles ain' it. Guess who one of my contact at Audi is.
To clarify the RS3 comment was none planned to be made but obviously they can always decide to change their mind in the future.
Anyone know what day Autocar comes out?

I dont think it makes sense for Audi to produce an RS model before an S model (they have never done it before).
I'm also not sure about twin turbos.
Its not as if there is bags of room for all that plumbing under the bonnet of a v6 A3.
And before someone mentions it, I am aware that there is a twin turbo Golf R32 conversion out there (can't remember who by though!). The boost pipes come over the top of that engine - leaving nowhere for Audi to put there crappy plastic engine covers.
Also if you want to know about forthcoming models dont ask your dealer (sorry- but Audi would like us to be known as 'retailers' now -not dealers .. LOL!). We are always last to know! We go on speculation just like you guys do.

I just read it in WH Smiths (I wasn't going to pay for it!)
Whole a pile of BS! Artistic impressions, rumours of what engineers will be working on, due in 2006, etc, etc
Maybe someone will be believe me one day.
For some reason everyone likes to believe magazines (which are only there to entice you to buy and therefore make money off you) over a semi-official source of information directly from Audi. What a strange world!

My resident spy (we've all got one, right?
) says............
A3 estate first.
then S3
Then maybe RS3 - but that's a long way away and will be AFTER there is a new A3 model. 2007 perhaps. RS models always come at the end of the model and after a new model has been released.

Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)
I'm not sure you meant that! The RS6 has been available for at least a year and a half. The new A6 is only just becoming available. I can't see Audi maintaining production of the old bodyshells just to meet RS version requirements after the mainstream models have moved on to a new body.JJRS4 wrote:RS models always come at the end of the model and after a new model has been released.
