Mine's done 25k miles now, thought it would of lasted longer than that though, never mind.

It looks like the part between the back box and chrome bits is about 1.5 inchs too long. They're welded with no adjustment aswell.

Frightened it looks like an aftermarket "fits all cars" (although none properly) RS Turbo Kevin type job.

If you think it sticks out too much and looks out of place get it sorted.
Here is another pic i had in my collection, as you can see the exhaust tail pipes are in-line with the bumber edge.

The S3 standard exhaust is known to expand and "grow" when you had a good run anyway

My fisrts S3 used to go from flush with the bumper to sticking out 1 -1.5 inches when really hot.

latest S3 doesnt seem to do it.

We must look like right idiots to the neighbours checking our exhausts in the dark and freezing cold !

The chrome bits look fixed, are they supposed to be adjustable?

The old exhaust was black, except the chrome end pieces, but this one is silver. Its genuine Audi. What colour is yours?

mine changed to silver too. Thought they had left a cover off or something, but it was just the surface finish.

It is just the heat tarnishing the surface, Meguiars Gold Class Metal polish gets it off

Now sorted. Took it back to Audi and insisted it wasn't right. They put it on the ramp, and it turned out there was a high spot on the sleeve and it hadn't been seated right. Now corrected and looks a load a better i.e. Kev RS Fiesta aftermarket job now removed

Just goes to prove that even the best can be wrong sometimes!

Having problems with camera, but will get some pics asap.

Cheers.

Spent about 3 hours today hovering and polishing it, now looks the muts nuts. Polished the protective stuff of the exhaust with some Auto Glym aswell, looks a load better.
