Xenon headlight adjustment

Post by r5bmb » Sat May 28, 2005 12:52 am

Hi guys,

I changed my battery 2 weeks ago, and the ECU is ok but my headlights were all over the place.

I know someone with a code reader that when plugged in came up with "headlamps not adjusted" but wouldn't let me clear the code.

I adjusted the lights to the right level, and it was ok, driving home tonight i noticed they've gone funny again. :?

Does anyone know if they can be adjusted with VAG Com or is it a trip to the dealers??

Cheers

Andrew

How di you adjust the lights ? if it was just with a screwdriver then that's why they have gone cod again ;)

AFAIK you need to use a VAG-Tool set the lights up to be adjusted and then use the screwdriver. Once you're happy with the height etc you set set the level with VAG-tool and then thats where the self adjusters will work from.

looks like a trip to the dealer, or i might have to invest in VAG COM.

Cheers
