Last night I had a quick look in the car section of my local freebie paper. There was a review of the new A3 quattro with the 3.2 V6 engine. In general it was a praising review apart from the price.

The article ended by stating that this car would not be the flagship of the range for long, because later this year the new S3 with its V8 engine would be launched.

I must say this does surprise me!

v8? nooo... surly not.. v6? yes I'd say thats closer to the truth. That said, I'd take a hatchback with a v8 anyday [img]images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] imagine the bag loads of torque!!! Then strap a blower on it [img]images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Colin Mitchell has said that his contacts have confirmed the new S3 as a 3.2 (v6) FSI running approx 280 bhp, due 2005...
