Fitting new mirror housings on an S3

Post by asifg » Tue Dec 16, 2003 12:52 pm

Hiya,

I've just got some alu mirrors for my S3, and wondered if anyone knew how easy it is to take out the "guts" from my plastic ones and fit them into the new set. I've looked for a Haynes manual for the A3/S3, but they don't do one!!!

Thanks!

Easy mate,

pop out the mirror glass using a blunt object and some care.

Then undo the three short screws holding the plastic cover in place and slide in off.

Slide on the aly ones and reinstall the screws then refit the glass (not forgettign the wires to the heating elements.

So what colour is your S3? I don't reckon that all colour cars suit the aly mirrors...
