Tyres

Post by Mo_S3 » Sat Sep 20, 2003 9:02 pm

Im getting some 18" wheels for my S3 and have found some 235/40ZR18 tryes to go with them.

I need to know if these will fit with out any problems.

Early replies appreciated.

Cheers

225/40 is the usual.

I know Dean ran 235's but they were 235/35's

the profile (40 or 35) is a % of the tyre width

also you have to think of keeping your rolling radius the same, so your speedo reads correctly.

Cheers Paul, ive checked the rolling radius calculators and the overall difference is minute. The thing i was more concerned about was wether or not the size of tyre would cause any rubbing under the arches. Doesnt look as though there should be any problem.

Cheers MIck thats the same information i got from another site, and the small difference in speedo reading is too small to worry about.

Im getting a good deal on some 235 40 tyres so thats why im going for these.

Should look good on my 3 spoked mirrored alloys .
