New s3 buyer....What to look for when buying second hand

Whats the biggest faults on 2001 225 facelift s3's???? what should i be looking for.... any 1 got 1 for sale for around 8-9 grand??? scott

Are they really that cheap these days!!! Man the bottoms fell out of these cars if they are!!!!

I paid £13k for a 2000 car 2 years ago, ok it was v low miles and a mint example but blimey thats gonna hurt when/if I sell.

yeh seen them with 60-70000 on the clock with full service history for 9 grand. bargain

That Scott is a lot of car for very little cash! You won't go wrong for that money.

ive had ,an s3 for the last 18 month, and over that time, ive spent over 6 thousand quid on it, with things like rear diff goin, clutch, haldex control unit, control arm, gearbox, etc, etc, and when i went buying the car i took a mechanic with me aswell, and they are things that you can`t tell are going to go wrong till they do.
