Indicator fault...relay?

Post by stew123 » Tue May 29, 2007 12:05 pm

Indicators have just packed up on 2001 S3. Bulbs and fuses are okay, indicators either don't work at all or start to flash then stop - this happens on left/right side.

Thinking this is the relay. Anybody else come across this? If so, is this an easy-ish fix as don't want to take to stealers.

Read on other Audi sites that relay is behind/built into hazard switch but not sure on A3/S3.

Thanks in advance!

this is a common fault on A3/S3/A6/A2/TT models and does require a new relay which is the hazard light switch itelf, easy job pull off the trim around the hazard switch, remove switch fit new job done.

Yes, mine went a couple of years ago, about £35 IRC.

Thanks guys. Got relay from dealers. Managed to remove facia trim with improvised hacksaw blade! No damage to trim :)
