Hi from a new S3 owner

Post by Evo-Mark » Sat May 06, 2006 11:11 pm

Hi all,
I bought (well put a deposit down) on my first Audi today :D A lovely Dolphin Grey S3 (2002 model). Hope to collect next Sat all being well.

I've traded in my Evo 8 (260 model) cause the cost to service the thing and the appitite for Optimax was eating into my pockets a little too deep (currently doing circa 500 miles per week and my last routine service at 27k cost £1100.....but they did clean it for me).

My S3 is std but has leather and BOSE. I hope to sort out a set of 18" RS4 alloys asap and am already considering an AmD stage 1........is this money well spent??

Anyway, thats 'hi' from me, great site btw! :) Are there any other users in the Reading area?

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum. Great colour car - I nearly bought one in that colour.

Lots of info on here including remap 'flavours' so try digging deep and searching around. I've had an AMD remap previously and they're certainly not bad and one of the best..

Me and plenty others live around Reading - we have a joint TSN/RS246 meet in Windsor great park last weds. of each month - keep an eye on the meets section. Everyone's welcome.

Cheers

Simon

Thanks for the welcome! I'll try to make the Windsor meet in the future, but I'm currently working weeks up in Cheshire at the Shell Stanlow refinery (home of Optiamx.........and maybe Optimax Refresh from Aug'06).

I'm thinking of the AmD stage 1 to give me a comparable bhp to my Evo 8 260. I'm not looking for massive power, just something in keeping with what I'm used to :-)

Remap is well worth the money mate, typical 260bhp,280lb/t similar to evo 260.
Other good remaps are Jabba,MRC and Revo with sps. Also a believe Awesome Gti are doing a offer on APR remaps at the moment.
