S3 Dash Removal

Im trying to remove the lower storage tray and ash tray from my S3 centre console (its an '01 facelift car with single din radio and climate)

I can get the radio and climate out without trouble, but I cant figure out how the rest comes away. Im trying to fit an ipod dock into the ash tray, but I need to be able to get it apart to start with.

Any help much appreciated.
