If that is what the RS3 (if there ever is going to be one) will look like, then put me down for one.

I am taking everything with a pinch of salt at the moment as there are so many rumors going around it is difficult to know what is true or not...

Yep there`s alot of rumor`s about, most of which i have heard...... but most of them centre around its engine and transmission = 3.2 V6 with 350bhp and DSG!

I think that new grille is looking ok on that picture.

They say it`ll be out around 2005/6 priced at £35,500, hope the price doesnt get much more though [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I think if they make it a 3Dr Hatch £30,500 seems a good price........... but if its a Avant £35,500 also seems a good price for the car! [img]images/graemlins/s3addict.gif[/img] cant wait! [img]images/graemlins/bowdown.gif[/img]

Mmm - definitely beginning to grow on me. Twin turbos will make it a more attractive package though.

Seems strange for Audi to have an A3 3.2 and then the price hike to the RS3 with nothing in between. Surely they can't miss out the S car?

Anyone know the relative proportion of sales for S cars in the different ranges, ie S3, S4 etc

My predictions where the following.....

A3 3.2 V6 241bhp quattro around £23-24k
S3 3.2 V6 280bhp quattro around £26-27k
RS3 3.2 V6 Bi-turbo 350bhp quattro around £30-32k

But AutoCar says......

A3 3.2 V6 241bhp(250bhp) quattro around £25-26k
S3 3.2 V6 280bhp quattro not to be made!
RS3 Avant 3.2 V6 350bhp Bi-turbo quattro around £35-36k

Naaaaa im definately going to try and get it........ got my name down with my local dealer, just waiting to hear back from them when its more clearer and then put down a deposit.

Im hoping that when its available i`ll be able to sell my S3 for around 15k`ish then take out another loan [img]images/graemlins/1syellow1.gif[/img]

Plus by 2006 i should have a better chance of insurance as i will be older etc........ fingers crossed really! [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

In a dutch magazine, they were mentioning that the S3 would have 350hp and not the RS3, they got it from an insider as well....but which insider is lying? [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

No No No!! Is it only me who doesn't want the RS3 to be an estate? The artists impression looks crap to me. Front is ok, but the back, nah. Not for me, not that I could afford one anyway.

No offense to any of the RS4/RS6 owners on here (respec' to dem, aiiii [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] ) but, estates are a bit, well,...lardy. OK, normal estates are lardy, Audi RS's are awesome, but its still an estate.

Maybe its just me, I'd just prefer a small nimble car with as much power as possible.

Hehe yeah that rear end of the pic is alittle strange.
Its very had to tell which way quattro GmbH will go if they do make a RS3!
Personally i think the 3Dr hatch is where they should aim, very profitable market segment, if its a Avant it`ll just be like a new`ish RS4........... just alittle smaller maybe! [img]images/graemlins/boots.gif[/img]
