Clutch Problem

Post by TimG007 » Wed May 28, 2008 10:04 pm

So I'm driving home with looking forward to a take away curry and the car is running like a dream. Then I get to the magic round about (Swindons finest) and as I go to change gear the clutch pedal goes to the floor and I can't get it back in gear!!! I coast the car across and pull up on the side of the road. The clutch is not doing anything. With the engine off it will go in to gear.

The car had a new master and slave cylinder about 40,000 miles ago fitted by Audi at a cost of about £1500, thanks to the former keeper.

It's going to be collected in the morning but does anyone have any ideas?

So I've got the news this afternoon and it turns out that the pedal had pulled it's self through the bulkhead. The bulkhead needs to be welded and reinforced. So I've moved the car to Prestige paintwork where the dash has been stripped and Mark is going to do the welding. So after the weekend the car will be good as new.
Happy Days....
