Snub mount swap - DIY or garage job??

Post by goose » Wed Oct 31, 2012 5:03 pm

As above, I recently purchased the Apikol poly snub mount and was curious to know if anyone had done the work themselves, and how hard it was :audibash:

I did my own, was the first job on the s4 I attempted.... There area few guides around on how to do it, no matter what they say its impossible to do without unbolting the whole front end, make sure you disconnect the battery, remove the lights, unhook the bumper, then the rad support needs to come forwards about 4-5" in to service position... Then it's easy... I would change your alt belt while you are at it, just easy to do whilst its all out the way.

Then put it all back together.... Make sure the headlights are connected before you put the battery back on or you will get errors and don't disconnect them until the battery is disconnected.

I did it on a ramp but its possible on the driveway/garage.
