Coil Pack service campaign

I've just had all 8 coil packs replaced by Audi under their service campaign free of charge. Nice one Audi !
What a difference. I didn't realise how much the engine was hesitating under load before.
I should have done it a year ago
It's worth checking if your car is affected. Just phone a dealer and ask about the coil pack service campaign. All they need is your chassis number to see if your car is affected.
The best thing is it's free.
Cheers, Chris.

What year is your car?
Mine is an '06 plate B7 and was told by Reading Audi that my car is not covered

28E9: Coil Pack, campaign lists that coils numbered 07K 905 715D or F are satisfactory
I had mine replaced at my 40k service in October last year. All seem fine, but I never had a problem with my old ones either

Mine is an 05 plate B7 and it had all 8 changed during the service FOC, did feel a lot more lively afterwards. This is the second time I am aware of that VAG has had coil pack issues, wonder when the next one will be?

I know my 2006 S6 had the coil packs replaced under a recall prior to my ownership.

Mines a 2005 CAB.
After more driving my old coils were obviously on their way out, 'cause now it's like a different car.
There were no mis-fires, but the spark must have been very weak in a few cylinders.
I'll have to spend a bit of time dailing the Revo remap back in, when the weather warms up
Chris.
