New brakes - slot direction???

i know there has been debate about this before... but i picked my car up last night and the new Mtec drilled and grooved disks have ben fitted with the slots "opposed" to the wheel direction.

on my previous cars i always had them fitted rotationally (i prefer this look!).. but i am told that this is the correct way, to "cut-in" the disk into the pad.

I've found a few discussions: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 0&d=0&nmt=

and this on AP Racing: http://www.apracing.com/info/info.asp?s ... ication_41

Any thoughts????

a lot of googleing and i found this...

- If the supplier's instructions elude to the need to throw dirt/water/heat out and away from the disc then fit this way...

- If the instructions elude to having to have constant airflow to the grooves to aid cooling, then fit this way round...

The decision will be made for you if the vanes betweens the disc faces are slanted, as you would need to follow suit. But if they are straight/flat then you can choose either of the above :audibash:
