RNS-D to RNS-E (Quick Question)

Post by paulyd65 » Sat Apr 23, 2011 1:52 pm

Dear All

Proceeded to upgrade my RNS-D to RNS-E. After much research and mostly down to the fine instructions posted by CRAIGYB on most audi forums, I made a start. Got all the cables from Kufatec, etc and know how to rewire the TMC box in the boot but hit one snag. There is a plug on the back of the RNS-D with 26 pins which is the AMP Connector. On the RNS-E its a 32 pin plug.

Didn't get an adaptor as part of the Kufatec kit so bit confused as what I need to do now. Is there an adaptor available. Did Kufatec snd me the wrong cables?

Any help would be gratfully received.

All the best.

Paul

I don't know which kit you ordered. But it should have the 26 pin connector. This is the one I used when I upgraded from RNS-D to RNS-E:

If it is the same, did you check that you selected the right options (the same reference is used also for BNS navi adapter...) ?
