Alternative to Millteks

Post by coullstar » Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:23 am

Ive just bought my S4 avant at the weekend and Im looking at exhaust options. It will be catback only.

Plenty of info about the Milltek but are there any decent alternatives available in the UK? Ive seen all the ones from the states however I dont want to order from there due to issue in the past with customs duty and damaged goods.

Im in Aberdeen so cannot easily get to the likes of MIJ either. Is Milltek the only viable answer?

I dont know about the only answer, but I have a miltek system and its the nuts. although not cheapest, fit and build quality is supreme.

There is a company in newcastle that does custom builds but you would need to search through threads here and on audisrs to find it.

I think they are called SJS or something.

pipewerx in lancashire do some fantasic work.. they can make pretty much anything you want, and have been doing so for years now!

also, have you got a B6 or B7?

if B7 you could also look at a Neuspeed system:- http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.ph ... 7&xSec=427

congrats on purchase by the way, and welcome to the club :bigwave:

Fast Intentions. Import from the states though so you'd be best off waiting for a decent exchange rate.

I do love my Milltek though, I just wish the Cats were further back the system. I've never heard a better sounding exhaust for these cars though than the Milltek. It just sounds right

The Fast Intentions is going to be louder and a touch more raspy as it's a larger bore and has and x-pipe.

Thanks, its a B6, Noggy blue. I'll probably end up with the non res Milltek, just wanted to see what else was out there.

For a daily driver you can't go wrong with a full Milltek. Anything designed for more power will probably just do your head in on a daily driver with the drone and general loud volume.

This is pretty much the same as what mine sounds like

FYI, no pre-cats or cats, I got a system with Miltek racing downpipes
