New Transmission Fluid?

Will changing the transmission fluid smooth my notchy gear change (B6).

I know it's never gonna be easy with a big engine like that but sometimes (especially when cold) the gear change is annoying.

If it will, has anyone seen a guide on how to change it?

I think the notchy gear change is more likely to be the gear stick and linkage bushes. Mine can be abit notchy sometimes, but I'm planning on getting a JHM short shifter soon so that should cure it

I thought about that but feared it might make it more noticeable.

Are you going for this one or would the other do?

The second link, just the shifter first. It looks like the main problem is the large rubber ball and plastic parts on the original that stretch, wear out or slop after a while. The new one is all metal so should feel nice and solid and make the most difference out of the trio kit. If needed I'd complete it later but I'm fairly confident the shifter alone will cure it

Cool. Any idea how much shipping would be? I've looked around and I'm assuming it's not gonna tell me unless I register and add to cart.

I noticed on AudiZine pretty much everyone buys all their tuning gear from JHM.

Wasn't too bad I think, about £20-25 but the dollar favours us abit better now so a little less. Satans Child on here is a JHM dealer in the UK

I wonder if we could arrange a group buy.

It was attempted last year but was a non-starter. Ended up with getting a good price offered by Satans Child anyway

Does he have a business website or do you just have to contact him by PM?

Or PM him on here
I PM'd him; nothing.

I e-mailed him; nothing.

Have you bought the shifter from him?

No, I ended up getting a Thor Sump Guard as mine got battered in the snow.

Try PMing him on SRS, I think he's on there more
