Just looked at one of these at a franchised dealer. 56 plate car registered Jan 07. 30k miles.
Pretty shocked by servicing, or lack of. Only 1 service in book at 14k miles.
I seem to recall that this engine needs frequent oil changes-I know all about Audi 'long life' servicing but presumably this is to be avoided on one of these?
On another point can anyone tell me trade/retail values for this car? Has basic sat nav but not many other extras. 2 owners from new.

Re: S4 servicing/value
There is nothing "officially" wrong with the amount of services. The car is on variable service intervals, every 20k. So 1 in 30k is OK. However, it is debatable whether or not up to 20k between oil changes is healthy. It really depends on the driving style, high or low miles. high miles variable. Low miles fixed, 12k. Personally, I change the oil every year mainly because I do less than 10K pa. Saying that I would still change it yearly even if I did 2x as many miles.
