Total Closure?

I can close all the windows by holding down the lock button for the duration on my keyfob but I've heard there's a setting in VAG-COM that allows the function with a short press.

Does anyone know if that's true?

Not as far as I know... It's just an on/off selection. I can't see any codes within VAG COM that change the press duration.

Maybe it was a newer model or something.

I know on newer Audis with MMI, electric folding mirrors can be set to (un)fold when (un)locking the car.

Ah ok. That's probably what it is. Although there's a chance that the functionality exists somewhere buried in the coding, it's just not covered (that I've seen) on the Ross Tech wiki, or on openobd (http://en.openobd.org/audi.htm).

sorry to hijack your thread but is it right that if you hold the lock button down it should close all the windows? Mine doesnt.... it this likely to not be turned on as a feature? Thanks for any help!

It's more of a reverse hijack (a rejack?) since that was what it was about originally.

Yes you should be able to. On that Ross-Tech wiki it sounds like it can be enabled by VAG-COM.
