Is that price from a dealer?
I would try Costco if you know someone with membership. I think they sell Bosch batteries at good prices.

I had my battery die in the snow a few weeks ago and was forced to go to Kwick Fit, it cost about £150 fitted with I think a 5 year guarantee (might have been 3 years?!).

Hi,

This link should give an idea of what you should be paying:

http://www.carbatteries-online.co.uk/carbattery019.html

I'm not saying buy from them, just that the £85-115 range seems about right.

The CCA or cold cranking amps is a figure to watch and describes how many amps the battery can provide during cold start cranking.

Regards, Chris.

I was quoted £110 (fitted) by the Audi/RAC recovery man when mine died a few months ago. At the time I thought that was a little high, so went off to my local battery guy, who did a good battery for £90, but I had to fit that myself. Which took me about 45 minutes, because I had completely the wrong tools!! So I wished I'd gone with the Audi recovery man in the end. He was cheaper than Halfords too!

You live and learn.

Go to a local battery specialist then fit it yourself. It'll be half that price!

We've just had ours done at the dealers for £150, unfortunately since then the fuel computers range indicator is constantly showing 1250 miles left in the tank. The dealers are looking at it now, anyone else encountered this?
